Apple’s iOS 18.6 Update Fixes Critical Vulnerability

Apple’s iOS 18.6 update, released this week, addressed a critical vulnerability exploited by hackers. The bug, known as CVE-2025-6558, targeted Google Chrome users through malicious HTML pages, potentially running arbitrary code on victims’ computers.

Chrome and Apple Software Affected

The vulnerability primarily impacted Chrome, with Google releasing a fix in version 138.0.7204.157. Users are urged to update their browsers immediately. Apple also addressed the bug in iOS 18.6, as it could lead to Safari crashes. iPad users should update to iPadOS 18.6 as well.
