“The Mandalorian” shakes things up with a new Jedi cameo
In the recent episode titled “Guns for Hire,” Din Djarin and Grogu team up with Bo-Katan to visit the unique planet Plazir-15. This planet stands out in the “Star Wars” universe for having a democratically elected Duchess and her partner, Captain Bombardier.
And here’s where it gets interesting. The role of the Duchess is played by none other than Lizzo, though sadly there’s no flute-playing involved. And adding to the star power, Jack Black portrays Captain Bombardier. It’s definitely a big week for him!
Unlike previous cameos that tied into deeper “Star Wars” lore, these characters seem to be fresh additions. It remains to be seen if they will make a return, but fingers crossed that Disney brings back Lizzo and Black for more fun moments on set.
