Spotify is trying out emergency alerts

So, Spotify is apparently testing out a new emergency alert feature, but don’t get too excited just yet.

These tests are currently happening in Sweden, where Spotify is based, and the company has confirmed that they are indeed experimenting with this new addition. However, it’s important to note that this is still very much a work in progress and limited to Sweden for now.

While it may seem like a random move for a music streaming platform, other big players in the tech world like Google and Apple already have safety features in place. Even Facebook has had a Safety Check feature for years.

What does this mean for Spotify users?

Well, it’s hard to say at this point. The company is just playing around with the idea, and we’ll have to wait and see if it actually becomes a permanent part of the Spotify experience.
