Connections: Sports Edition
is the latest twist on the popular New York Times word game, designed to challenge sports fans. Just like the original Connections, this game is all about finding the common threads between words. And similar to Wordle, the difficulty level increases with each new set of words, so we’ve got some hints and tips to help you out.
What is Connections Sports Edition?
The latest daily word game from the NYT has been launched in collaboration with The Athletic, the sports coverage section of the New York Times. Players can enjoy Connections on both web browsers and mobile devices, where the goal is to group four words that share something in common.
Each puzzle consists of 16 words divided into four categories. From book titles to country names, players must find the common link between the words. And remember, even if multiple words seem to fit together, there’s only one correct answer. Make a mistake, and you only have up to four chances before the game ends.
Players can shuffle the board to make connections easier, and each group is color-coded based on difficulty level. From yellow (easiest) to purple (most challenging), you can challenge your friends by sharing your results on social media.
