Connections: Sports Edition
is a new version of the popular New York Times word game that aims to challenge sports fans. Just like the original Connections, the game revolves around finding common threads between words. Similar to Wordle, Connections resets daily and the words get progressively harder, so we’ve compiled some tips to help you out.
What is Connections Sports Edition?
The latest word game from NYT has been launched in collaboration with The Athletic, providing sports coverage for the New York Times. Players can enjoy Connections on web browsers and mobile devices, where they must group four words that share a commonality. Each puzzle contains 16 words divided into four categories, such as book titles, software, or country names. While multiple words may seem related, only one combination is correct. Players have up to four mistakes before the game ends, and they can rearrange the board for easier connections. Groups are color-coded from yellow (easiest) to purple, and results can be shared on social media.
