If you’ve been online in the past year or so, you’ve probably seen some jaw-dropping examples of artificial intelligence generating images based on text prompts. Typically, it takes some time for the image to be generated, but what if this could happen instantly, as you type?
Turns out, it can. At this year’s Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, chip maker MediaTek showcased several impressive AI demos. The demonstration of a SDXL Turbo, an AI engine that can dynamically create images in real time based on text prompt, was particularly impressive.
Real Time Image Creation
MediaTek’s AI engine, showcased at MWC, can generate images instantly as you type. The demo device would immediately switch images based on the text prompt entered. This technology surpasses Samsung’s AI-based wallpaper generation, creating images even faster, practically instantaneously.
Future Prospects of AI-Generated Videos
In addition to instant image generation, AI technology is advancing towards creating videos based on text prompts. While not instantaneous yet, it is anticipated that future developments will enable the direct creation of videos by typing in desired content, with AI producing results fast enough to appear immediate.
