Someone recently predicted a possible release date for the iPhone 17, and it might be sooner than expected.
The iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Air, the highly anticipated new iPhones rumored to come in black with a long-lasting battery, do not have a confirmed release date yet. While details like price, hardware, and color options remain unknown, there have been several exciting leaks. One leak, shared by Mac Rumors from leaker Majin Bu, suggests that the iPhone 17 Air could be available in the same Sky Blue finish as the MacBook Air.
The latest buzz surrounding the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Air doesn’t stem from a leak this time, but rather from some well-thought-out calculations. Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman mentioned in the Power On newsletter that we might see the new iPhone specifications and have the chance to purchase them during the week of September 8.
Gurman pointed out that Apple typically unveils its new iPhones the week following Labor Day, which this year falls on September 1. This pattern aligns with past events, as nine out of the last ten Apple events occurred during the second week of September, as reported by MacRumors. The only exception was in 2000 when the schedule was adjusted due to the pandemic.
Gurman also noted that Apple avoids scheduling events on Fridays and would likely steer clear of September 11. This leaves three possible dates for the iPhone event: September 8 (Monday), September 9 (Tuesday), or September 10 (Wednesday).
“While it could be on Monday the 8th, I believe the 9th or 10th are more probable,” Gurman stated, as per PC Mag.
