Canva acknowledged several reported issues, including the inability to save changes to designs, failure messages for general knowledge queries using CanvaAI, and problems with realtime comments and notifications. Users were also experiencing issues with the timer and follow user features on designs.
Resolution and Updates
Canva implemented a fix and continued to monitor the situation, with a confirmation of being back online around 4:32 a.m. ET. A spokesperson for Canva assured users that engineers were working on resolving the issue and directed them to status.canva.com for live updates. With 170 million monthly users, including large organizations, the outage likely affected a significant number of users.
As of now, Canva appears to be operating normally again.
