iPhone 17 Rumors Surface Ahead of iPhone 16 Launch
Apple’s iPhone 16 is set to launch in two weeks, but rumors about its successor, the iPhone 17, have already begun circulating. A Chinese leaker recently claimed that the iPhone 17 will feature a significant upgrade in terms of RAM compared to the iPhone 16. While the iPhone 16 models are expected to come with 8GB of RAM, the iPhone 17 is rumored to boast 12GB of RAM, enhancing its capability to handle advanced AI applications.
Insights from Apple Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo
Renowned Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo also weighed in on the iPhone 17 rumors, stating that only the iPhone 17 Pro Max will come equipped with 12GB RAM, while the other models will continue to have 8GB RAM. Kuo highlighted that the iPhone 17 Pro Max will likely emphasize enhanced on-device AI capabilities as a key selling point. Additionally, he mentioned that the Pro Max variant will feature an upgraded cooling system that combines vapor chamber technology and graphite sheets, offering improved thermal management.
It’s worth noting that these speculations are based on limited information, as the iPhone 16 has yet to be released. However, considering the resource-intensive nature of artificial intelligence applications, the potential increase in RAM for the iPhone 17 seems logical.
