Apple enthusiasts may have something to look forward to in 2025. While the usual new iPhone releases are expected in the fall, there’s also buzz surrounding new Apple home entertainment products. Rumors suggest that Apple may be launching new items for streaming movies and TV shows, potentially before the end of 2025.
An upgraded Apple HomePod mini
The original HomePod mini was introduced about five years ago, leading to speculation about the release of the Apple HomePod mini 2 before 2025 ends. It is anticipated that this new version will feature a better chip for improved response time. There are talks about upgrading from the current S5 chip to a newer chip, possibly the S11 chip expected to debut in the Apple Watch Series 11 and Apple Watch Ultra 3. Additionally, new color options like Starlight or Sky Blue, similar to those available for the MacBook, could be on the horizon.
A snappier Apple TV 4K
The current Apple TV 4K model, launched in 2022, features an A15 Bionic chip. However, indications from Apple’s code suggest an upgrade to the A17 Pro chip, promising significant performance enhancements. This new chip is also capable of supporting Apple Intelligence, which requires 8GB of memory, potentially doubling the storage space from 4GB to 8GB. If you can’t wait for the new model, the current version is available for purchase at Best Buy for $149.99.
