is one of the most popular word games from the New York Times that has caught the attention of the public. The game focuses on finding the “common threads between words.” Similar to Wordle, Connections resets daily after midnight, with each new set of words becoming more challenging—so we’ve provided some hints and tips to help you out.
What is Connections?
The latest daily word game from NYT has become a social media sensation. Associate puzzle editor Wyna Liu is credited by The New York Times for creating the new word game and introducing it to the Games section. Connections is playable on web browsers and mobile devices, requiring players to group four words that share a common element.
Each puzzle consists of 16 words divided into four categories. These categories can include book titles, software, country names, and more. Although multiple words may seem to fit together, only one answer is correct. Players must guess all four words in a set correctly to remove them from the board. Incorrect guesses count as mistakes, with up to four allowed before the game ends.
Players can rearrange and shuffle the board to make spotting connections easier. The groups are color-coded, with yellow being the easiest, followed by green, blue, and purple. Like Wordle, results can be shared with friends on social media.
