Connections
is the latest New York Times word game that has caught the public’s attention. The game challenges players to find common threads between words, similar to the popular game Wordle. Resetting daily, each new set of words becomes more challenging, but we have some hints and tips to help you overcome the obstacles.
What is Connections?
The New York Times‘s newest daily word game, Connections, has become a social media sensation. Associate puzzle editor Wyna Liu is credited with creating the game and introducing it to the publication’s Games section. Playable on web browsers and mobile devices, Connections tasks players with grouping four words that share a common trait. Each puzzle contains 16 words split into four categories, such as book titles, software, or country names. Despite multiple words appearing to fit together, there is only one correct answer. Players have up to four mistakes before the game ends, and they can rearrange the board to aid in finding connections. Each group is color-coded for difficulty, with yellow being the easiest and purple being the most challenging, allowing players to share their results on social media, similar to Wordle.
