‘Snowpiercer’ season four won’t be on TNT!

Unfortunately, it’s official: Snowpiercer has been canceled after three seasons on TNT. The show, which tackled themes of class struggle and climate change, was based on the French graphic novel La Transperceneige and Bong Joon-ho’s 2013 film adaptation.

According to Deadline, TNT will not be airing a fourth season of Snowpiercer. The decision was described as difficult, but the network expressed appreciation for the cast and crew who brought the post-apocalyptic world to life. Despite this setback, efforts are being made to find a new platform for the show’s continuation.

It’s not uncommon for sci-fi shows to be resurrected after being canceled. For example, The Expanse found new life on Amazon Prime after being dropped by Syfy. Even Futurama faced cancellation multiple times before being revived once again on Hulu.

As of now, Snowpiercer remains in the spotlight as Tomorrow Studios is exploring options for a final season, a prequel, and a sequel to the series.
