Last year, Apple decided to replace all of its leather accessories with a new material called FineWoven, which was touted as being better for the environment. However, many users have found that FineWoven cases and accessories show wear and tear faster than leather. As someone who has used FineWoven products for almost a year, I can attest to their deteriorating appearance.
But there’s hope on the horizon. Reports suggest that Apple’s stock of FineWoven iPhone cases and Apple Watch bands is at an all-time low, leading to speculation about potential replacements or updates. Some sources say Apple may switch to a different non-leather material, while others claim that new colors may be added to the FineWoven lineup.
Personally, I believe it’s time for an upgrade to FineWoven. The current version doesn’t seem to have won over consumers, so perhaps FineWoven 2.0 could address these concerns.
