Hey there! So, Metroid Prime 4 is finally on its way this year, and I had a chance to check out a quick demo of it at a recent Nintendo event. Let me tell you, it left me pretty darn impressed for a few reasons.
Switch 2 Tech Demo Extravaganza
First off, stepping back into Samus’s power suit after all these years felt like a warm hug from an old friend. But what really caught my eye was how this demo seemed more like a showcase for the capabilities of the rumored Switch 2 than anything else.
The game was running on what looked like Switch 2 hardware, and let me tell you, it was a sight to behold. The graphics were crisp, the frame rate was buttery smooth, and it all just felt incredibly polished.
Mouse Controls: A Game-Changer?
One of the standout features of the demo was the new Joy-Con mouse controls. I could easily switch between traditional controls and mouse controls simply by placing the Joy-Con on a flat surface in front of me. It was seamless and surprisingly intuitive.
While I didn’t get a full sense of what sets Prime 4 apart from its predecessors, I can say with confidence that the Switch 2 is shaping up to be a powerhouse of a console.
