Samsung’s Foldable Tech: Keeping It to Themselves?
It seems that Samsung has some impressive foldable phone technology up their sleeves, but they’re not quite ready to share it with us yet. At MWC Barcelona, Samsung Display showcased a range of foldable, stretchable, and bendable phone and tablet concepts that highlight the advancements in OLED display technology.
Impressive Concepts on Display
One standout concept was a vertically tri-folding phone that reveals a small stretch of display when folded, turning it into a status display showing key information like time, date, and battery life. While not as practical as the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6, it certainly earns points for its cool factor.

Additionally, Samsung showcased larger tri-folding and tri-bending prototypes that seamlessly transition from phone to phablet to tablet and back again. One standout was a stretchy display that protruded outwards when needed, creating a striking 3D effect.

While these concepts may never hit the market as actual products, it’s clear that the technology showcased will influence future innovations in the industry.
