Hackers found a fresh way to snatch Microsoft logins

Attention Microsoft users: Watch out for a new sneaky way hackers are trying to steal your login details. According to Bleeping Computer, they’re using a tricky method that involves a seemingly trustworthy outlook.office.com link that actually leads to a phishing site.

The Trap: Sponsored Links and Phishing
Researchers at Push Security discovered that the scam starts with a dodgy sponsored link in Google search results. One unlucky person even fell for it while searching for “Office 265” (probably meant to be “Office 365”). The link takes you to an Office domain before redirecting you to the phishing page. Sneaky, right?

Stay Sharp with Sponsored Links
Lesson learned: Don’t trust sponsored links blindly. They may look harmless, but hackers are clever. And they’re always finding new ways to outsmart us. Just look at how they recently outwitted Microsoft Defender, the antivirus software. And don’t forget, even if you’re vigilant, your data could still be at risk from large-scale hacks like the recent breach at Allianz Life.
