Apple leaks are like a regular soap opera in the tech world, but it seems like one leaker may have pushed Apple’s buttons a bit too far.
According to The Verge, Apple is taking legal action against Jon Prosser, a well-known leaker, for allegedly getting his hands on top-secret info about iOS 26. This new mobile operating system, previously known as iOS 19, made quite a buzz on Prosser’s YouTube channels with accurate predictions of iPhone app redesigns before the official reveal.
Apple claims that Prosser collaborated with a guy named Michael Ramacciotti to sneak into an Apple employee’s phone and snatch some trade secrets. Prosser allegedly promised payment to Ramacciotti in exchange for access to the phone, which belonged to an Apple employee named Ethan Lipnik. Unfortunately, Lipnik lost his job at Apple due to the whole debacle.
Accusations aside, Prosser denied any wrongdoing, stating on X that he had no part in any shady dealings. He’s looking forward to clearing things up with Apple.
Apple is aiming for damages and a court order to silence Prosser from leaking more Apple secrets. Stay tuned to see how this juicy drama unfolds.
