HMD announces a Barbie flip phone, lacking photographic evidence

HMD Global Partnership with Mattel

HMD Global has announced a partnership with Mattel to launch a Barbie-themed flip phone. Despite being known for acquiring the Nokia brand and selling Nokia phones since 2016, HMD Global has provided minimal information about the device. What we do know is that it will be a pink flip phone set to release next summer.

Upcoming Releases and Plans

While details about non-Barbie phones remain scarce, HMD Global has hinted at plans for other devices. The company also intends to release an updated version of a classic Nokia device, similar to the reimagined Nokia 3310, later this summer. Additionally, the company will begin selling phones under its own brand, in addition to continuing with Nokia-branded phones in the future.
