Google’s Gemini messaging feature will be reaching out to you soon

Google Introduces Gemini AI Chatbot in Messages App

Google has announced the introduction of its Gemini AI chatbot, formerly known as Bard, into the Google Messages app on Android smartphones. This feature will allow users to engage in full-fledged conversations with the AI chatbot right within the messaging platform. Currently, the beta version of this feature is available to users over 18 in certain markets, with support for English and French in Canada.

Gemini: Features and Requirements

Within the Messages app, Gemini can be used for various tasks such as drafting messages, planning events, or simply chatting with the AI. To access Gemini, users need a Google account, the latest version of Google Messages, and a compatible device such as Pixel 6 or later, Pixel Fold, Samsung Galaxy S22 or later, Samsung Galaxy Z Flip, or Z Fold.

Gemini has recently undergone a rebranding by Google and is being praised for its improved efficiency. However, the AI chatbot faced criticism recently for generating images of Nazi soldiers as people of color, sparking controversy.
