The Impact

Police reports from Milwaukee revealed a drastic increase in stolen vehicles, with hundreds of Kias and Hyundais taken in 2021. These thefts have resulted in 14 crashes and eight fatalities, prompting a $200 million settlement to compensate affected owners and enhance vehicle security.
