GPT-5 Integration with Google Ecosystem
GPT-5 has some added benefits for those who live in Google’s digital ecosystem. You can now link up your Gmail and Google Calendar accounts to ChatGPT, allowing the chatbot to utilize the information to assist you when needed. During the GPT-5 announcement livestream, OpenAI showcased this integration, demonstrating how ChatGPT can help plan out a user’s day by accessing linked accounts.

Personalized Scheduling and Privacy Concerns
When you request ChatGPT to provide an outline of your day, it leverages the data from your inbox and calendar to give you a brief overview of what to expect. The chatbot can create a schedule for you and even alert you about any important emails that require your attention. However, privacy concerns arise as users may have sensitive personal information stored in their Gmail accounts, raising questions about granting a chatbot access to such data.
Release of GPT-5 and Privacy Issues
GPT-5 is set to launch today, but it is not available online at the time of writing. The integration of Google accounts with ChatGPT offers convenience but also raises privacy considerations, especially for long-time Gmail users with substantial personal data stored in their accounts.
