Disney+ and Hulu Price Hike
Disney+ last saw a price increase in December 2022, and now, less than a year later, it’s going up again. Starting on Oct. 12, Disney+ and Hulu will experience price hikes on their ad-free plans. Disney+ will jump from $11/mo to $14/mo, while Hulu will increase from $15/mo to $18/mo. This means Disney+ now costs twice as much as when it first launched in 2019.
Options to Consider
There are a couple of ways to potentially deal with the price hikes. One option is to purchase an annual subscription before the price increases go into effect, securing a year of ad-free Disney+ at the current rate. Unfortunately, this option is not available for Hulu. Another method is to opt for a bundle that combines ad-free Disney+ and Hulu for $20/mo, offering a discount compared to subscribing to both services separately. However, be cautious as the price for this bundle could also increase unexpectedly in the future.
